This section is designed to provide further information to supplement that which appears elsewhere on this website. It is in two sections:

A Good Practice Guide to Workforce Development and Productivity

This report was prepared as part of the East of England Sector Skills Agreement in 2007 and gives an overview of recommended good practice from across the country and in the East of England.

2.   RESOURCE GUIDE AND CASE STUDIES

We are continually gathering a collection of materials, case studies, toolkits and resources from across the country to supplement each section of the HSE website.

Resource Guide (RG)

Building on the Good Practice Guide which was published in October 2009, a revised series of documents is now available. The new Resource Guide (RG) is in 9 sections which mirror that of the Health Skills East website itself. The RG can be accessed by clicking on the relevant section shown below:

Health Warning - we have not quality assured products that have been developed by individual employers / organisations. They are therefore made available "As seen" and without our endorsement.

We would very much welcome your views on the type of materials you would like to see in the Resource Guide. We will use your views to help shape its on-going development. Please use the Tell us what you think facility to provide your feedback and comments.

Case Studies

Following a call for case studies in the January 2009 edition of the HSE bulletin, work is on-going in bring together useful resources and disseminating knowledge and experience from around the country.

The following case studies from the East of England can be accessed below:

• Developing new competency based clinical AP roles within West Essex PCT
• Development of and training in advance care planning records to improve patient care within a Hospice
• Developing the future Estates and Facilities workforce at Addenbrooke's Hospital
